Born on 3rd March 1983 at Naimikango Health Mission Hospital in Thondwe Zomba. Claytone came into the limelight with hit song titled Mwayenela from the Art of Worship Group Capetown in 2023, before he released his own worship track Zamoyo zonse in 2024 the composition is from the book of Psamls 150 v 6.Now in 2026 he came back again with the amazing worship track titled Wakale (The Ancient of Days)The song is taken from the book of Daniel 7:9:13 and 22.
Claytone is the Fourth son in a Family of five.
(Three boys and two girls) Chanika comes from Chikapa Village, T/A Chikowi in Zomba where he was born and raised.
As an artist Claytone has 4 singles which he recorded with different studios. Claytone is not just an artist but he is also a worship leader to his church.Claytone was inspired by Worshiper Allan Chirwa, Enock Hassan, and Enwood Mkandawile.
Currently Claytone stays in Capetown and he is working as Healthcare as well as air bnb facility Manager. He is married to Loveness Chipi and blessed with 3 daughters.
Claytone did his primary at Thondwe FP School then to Mulunguzi Primary school, then he was selected to Namikhate CDSS. He did Advance Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Nursing and patient Care, Diploma in Mental Health and Psychological.
Currently Claytone is doing Bachelors Degree in Theology from All Nations Bible College.
Claytone is a member of C.C.A.P Church and took part of music ministry and Evangelism and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ for 6 years now in Capetown under Pentecostal Revival Church International (PRCI)
Claytone is a member of Musician Union Of Malawi, yet to register as a member of Cosoma soon.
